CentreLearn Launches Compliance Guard™ Module

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 15, 2008

Automated System Helps Fire and EMS Departments Easily Track Recertification, Training and Risk Management Requirements

Shrewsbury, Penn. – CentreLearn Solutions, LLC, today announced the release of its new Compliance Guard™ module to fire departments and emergency medical services that use the CentreLearn Learning Management System, company officials said.

"Fire and EMS departments are suffocating under a mountain of paperwork and error-prone filing systems as they try to keep track of all the training they’re required to do, and those requirements are only increasing in number and complexity," said James Eastham, Sc.D., chief executive officer of CentreLearn. "Compliance Guard is a way for emergency services to automatically keep track of their training and stay on top of licensure, recertification and risk management requirements."

Compliance Guard is built into the CentreLearn Learning Management System (LMS) and integrates with all online learning conducted via the LMS, as well as tracking classroom programs, hands-on training sessions and other departmental activities. According to Eastham, the system tracks compliance throughout the year and automatically sends reminders to personnel about missing requirements, eliminating last-minute scrambles to meet deadlines.

"Compliance Guard also makes it vastly easier to track continuing education and recertification for EMTs and paramedics," Eastham said. The system automatically tracks personnel's progress against a built-in database of requirements for all 50 states and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. It also suggests ways to meet missing requirements through CentreLearn’s library of more than 250 CECBEMS-accredited or state-approved courses, and allows administrators to re-apply completed CE hours in a "best scenario" mix of NREMT and state CE categories.
